The U.S. maternal and infant mortality rates have been rising, especially for women and babies of color. In particular, Black women often receive lower quality care during and after childbirth and are more likely to die while giving birth than other women in the U.S. One year into the pandemic, how have social determinants of health contributed to maternal and child health outcomes for Black and other women of color?
